Case studies

Four accounts, what was broken, and what changed.

Written the way we would explain them on a call: the actual problem, the specific work, and the numbers with their caveats attached.

What results does Orbit Interactive produce for clients?

Recent Orbit Interactive engagements include a 4.1x return on ad spend for a regional furniture retailer, a 61% increase in qualified calls at flat budget for a 14-location home services group, AI answer citations across 22 buying-stage prompts for a B2B software company, and a 44% reduction in cost per lead for an automotive dealer group. Outcomes vary by category, budget and starting condition.

Furniture retail

Regional furniture chain, 6 locations

4.1x return on ad spend in two quarters

The problem. A broadcast-heavy budget was producing traffic the client could not attribute to anything. Sales were flat despite rising spend.

What we did.

  • Rebuilt conversion tracking, including in-store appointment and phone attribution
  • Moved 40% of the broadcast budget into OTT and paid search
  • Produced 15s and 30s OTT cuts from existing brand footage rather than reshooting
  • Layered geo-fenced display around competitor showrooms with a financing offer

Multi-location services

Home services group, 14 branches

61% more qualified calls on the same spend

The problem. Fourteen locations shared one website and one phone number, so nobody could tell which branch was working and which was carrying the others.

What we did.

  • Built individual location pages with proper LocalBusiness schema and unique content
  • Implemented dynamic number insertion mapped to each branch
  • Rebuilt Google Business Profiles and fixed citation inconsistency across 200+ directories
  • Added geo-fenced display around each trade area, budgeted by branch performance

B2B SaaS

Vertical software company, US and Canada

Cited in AI answers for 22 buying-stage prompts

The problem. The client's buyers had started researching inside ChatGPT and Perplexity. The company appeared in none of those answers while two competitors appeared in most.

What we did.

  • Baselined 140 buying-stage prompts across five assistants
  • Rebuilt 60 pages around question-led headings with direct answers in the opening lines
  • Implemented Organization, Service, FAQPage and Article schema sitewide and fixed entity inconsistency across profiles
  • Ran a citation program targeting the review sites and roundups assistants drew from

Automotive

Multi-rooftop dealer group, Florida

Cost per lead down 44% while volume rose

The problem. Three rooftops were bidding against each other on the same terms, and the vendor running paid search would not share account access.

What we did.

  • Migrated to client-owned Google Ads accounts with clean geographic separation
  • Restructured campaigns by rooftop and model line with shared negative lists
  • Introduced Amazon DSP in-market audiences for conditional conquest targeting
  • Added streaming audio during drive time with companion banners

How to read these

What we will not claim

Every agency case study is written by the agency, which is a reasonable thing to be sceptical about. So here is the fine print, up front.

  • These are selected examples. Not every account produces numbers like these, and some accounts we take on turn out to have less room than we hoped.
  • Attribution is imperfect. Where a number depends on modelled attribution rather than observed conversions, we say so in the reporting.
  • Timeframes matter. A percentage improvement over a weak baseline is easier than the same improvement over a strong one.
  • Some of the credit is not ours. A good offer, a strong brand and a competent sales team all move these numbers. We are one input.

On a first call we will tell you what range is realistic for your category and budget, and if we think the honest answer is a modest improvement rather than a transformation, you will hear that instead of a pitch.

Want to know what is realistic for you?

Send us your numbers and we will give you an honest range.

FAQ

Questions about results

Straight answers to what prospects actually ask us before signing.

Are these results typical?

No, and we would rather say that plainly. These are among our stronger outcomes, chosen because the mechanics are instructive. Results depend heavily on category, competition, budget, offer quality and how much room the existing setup left for improvement. On a first call we will give you a realistic range for your situation, not these numbers.

Why are the client names not shown?

Most of this work was delivered under white label or partner agreements, where naming the advertiser would identify the partner too. We can share named references privately once a conversation is serious and the relevant client has agreed.

How do you attribute results across channels?

We use platform data, analytics, call tracking and, where volume supports it, geo-based holdout testing. We report last-click and assisted paths separately rather than blending them into one flattering number, and we will tell you where attribution is modelled rather than observed.

Can you replicate this for my business?

Possibly, and the honest answer depends on what we find. The audit is where we tell you whether there is comparable room to improve or whether your current setup is already close to its ceiling. Both answers happen, and we give you the audit either way.

Send us your current campaigns. We will show you, line by line, where the waste is and what we would do differently. No pitch deck, no obligation.
